"Sedna" A protector of all things aquatic. It is believed that many fishermen and vessels have gone to bed in a deep watery grave because of their disrespectful actions. A just sentence as a result of such poor moral actions.
Sedna is an Inuit or Eskimo belief. This painting came as a design in an art history project in college. The objective was to illustrate a god or goddess. Sedna is a beautiful invoking spirit of the sea. A protector of all things aquatic from wildlife species to the pristine waters or inlet bays and vast bodies of water. It is believed that many fishermen and vessels have gone to bed in a deep watery grave because of their disrespectful actions. A just sentence as a result of such poor moral actions.
This original is actually in acrylic and technique is airbrush. However this image is just too good not to share with the world, don’t you agree? This is was done before I really adopted watercolor into my life as a dedicated medium. It is the combination of two photographs, the woman is a model taken from a stock photography book long before digital media or google was a thing.
